Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PnlShip (“PnlShip”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you use our website, web app and mobile apps (the “Service”).
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, workspace name and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the basic profile those providers share.
- Financial data you connect — when you link a bank or card through our providers (Plaid, GoCardless) or an accounting system (QuickBooks, Xero), we receive account details, balances and transactions you authorize. We never receive or store your bank login credentials.
- Content you create — categories, rules, notes, invoices, customers, vendors, bills, receipts and documents you upload.
- Billing information — subscriptions are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage data — device, browser and log information and product analytics that help us keep the Service reliable and improve it.
How we use information
- To provide the Service: syncing, categorizing and analyzing your transactions, generating reports and insights, and sending invoices on your behalf.
- To run AI features you use, such as categorization and the PnlShip Agent. Data sent to AI providers is used only to produce your results.
- To communicate with you about your account, security and billing.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and comply with law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Sharing
We share information with service providers that help us operate the Service (for example hosting, email delivery, payments, bank-data and AI providers) under contracts that limit their use of it; with people you invite to your workspace, such as teammates or your accountant, with the permissions you grant; and when required by law.
Security
Provider access tokens are encrypted at rest, sign-in codes and session tokens are stored hashed, and access to your workspace is limited to the members and accountants you approve. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your data.
Retention and your choices
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You can disconnect accounts, revoke accountant access, export your data or delete your account from the app’s settings. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your personal information — contact us to exercise them.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy and will notify you of material changes by email or in the app.
